This picturesque community is home to the Long Beach Community Center. The Community Center boasts an impressive fitness center that also offers classes and personal training. For golfers, there is also a country club with an 18-hole golf course.
For transport, the Michigan City Transit oversees a bus route that runs locally and connects the area to Michigan City. The South Shore Line and Amtrack also offer daily services.

Aside from being located right on the stunning shores of Lake Michigan, Long Beach is also almost adjacent to the ecological wonder that is the Indiana Dunes National Seashore. Tourist activity typically spikes in late spring, summer and fall.

One of our favorites is the Hoover-Timme House, designed by John Lloyd Wright in 1929. Carved into one of Lake Michigan’s Sand Dunes, it blends architectural finesse with natural beauty. The Prairie School House, Isabel Burnham House, and Lowell E. House are also some of the many homes here worth bringing your family down to when they come for a visit.
